Hatikvah (Meretz-Ameinu) Australia is the democratic voice of the Australian Zionist community. We represent the full diversity of Australian Jewry - religious and secular, Israeli-born and Australian, urban and rural. We stand for a pluralistic, inclusive, and socially just Israel that upholds the values of its Declaration of Independence. In a time of rising extremism, we advocate for a Zionism rooted in equality, shared responsibility and unity. Here in Australia, we are working to empower diverse Jewish voices, deepen engagement with Zionism, and ensure our community’s values are reflected on the global stage. Hatikvah supports funding and policies that prioritise rebuilding communities impacted by October 7 and the multi-front war, investing in people over expansion and in strengthening global Jewish connections. We are the voice of HOPE - for an Israel grounded in integrity, justice and courage.
